La violencia de género es la manifestación extrema de la desigualdad social que existe entre hombres y mujeres. Los patrones de conducta sustentados en los roles tradicionales dificultan el ejercicio de los derechos fundamentales de las mujeres y alimentan este tipo de violencia.
